It is so important that we all invest our time wisely!
When you first join the CC there is a steep learning curve and it can all feel a bit overwhelming. It is therefore important that you prioritize what you do in the CC in your first few months.
As you know, when you build your own network, you are building one of your greatest assets. So it makes sense for your first priority to be learning how to build your network.
We suggest prioritizing your time in the following order

Featured events are highly effective because

The best way to invite guests to a Featured Event is to send them a link to the Event.

We encourage CC members to create relevant, valuable Special Events.
Special Events may be one or a series of events that provide benefits for others in the CC as well as the person holding the event.
In many cases, a group of collaborators in related industries will meet regularly to provide advocacy and ideas for one another and occasionally hold events around specific topics for CC members (and with permission from the CC non-CC members may also be invited).
From past experience, the success of such groups depends on them being leadership-driven. Otherwise, they easily degenerate into “talkfests” with dwindling numbers.
For such groups, periodically holding events is an ideal way to keep them fresh and growing, provide value to others and generate business for the group of people promoting them.
